Dr. Pragya Sharma pursued post graduation, Diploma in Psychiatry Medicine from reputed Topiwala National Medical college at Mumbai and DNB from KJ Somaiya Medical College and Hospital at Mumbai. She has around a decade of experience in treating various mental health related issues. She has worked at various hospitals in Mumbai like K B BHabha Municipal Hospital, Bandra and Jagjivan Ram Railway Hospital, Mumbai Central.

She then pursued her senior residency at the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh and GMCH-32, Chandigarh.

She further trained in treating women’s mental health related issues at a course in NIMHANS and did obtain additional training in Child and Adolescent training certified by Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry(IACAM).

She is a member of Indian Psychiatric Society and Indian Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health

She has published various articles on autism and somatic symptom disorder in children. She has a research paper on links between depression and hypothyroidism. She did her thesis research on substance use in medical college students and has a way of connecting with them.

She believes in providing holistic care to her clients with medications and therapy, and has also published a paper on the role of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as an adjuvant to Exposure and response Prevention therapy in a patient with dual diagnosis of Substance use disorder and Obsessive Compulsive disorder. She believes in tailoring treatment according to the individual’s needs. She believes mental health should be accessible to all and aims to reduce the stigma around mental health.
