Dr. Nivedita Sudheer is a consultant psychiatrist. She has done her psychiatric training from two of India’s most prestigious centers, being, Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore (Diploma in Psychological Medicine) and NIMHANS, Bengaluru (MD Psychiatry). She has subsequently worked in clinical and academic roles at NIMHANS/ CMC Vellore and elsewhere.
She has a keen interest in Psychotherapy, and was awarded the “Best Performer” award in the Psychotherapy training programme during her residency at NIMHANS. She also has research publications in peer reviewed journals.
She offers services in the field of mental health care including managing anxiety, depression and mood disorders, sleep problems, relationship problems and stress related disorders among other mental health problems.
Her areas of interest include women’s mental health, specifically the mental health challenges in women during the peri-conceptional and post-partum periods. Her approach to mental healthcare is to strive for the best combination of pharmacological and psychological approaches.
