She strongly emphasizes the importance of incorporating a holistic model of services that takes into consideration the mental/emotional, physical/biological, social, community and the spiritual aspects of the client to ensure well-being and self-sufficiency. Her theoretical orientation is primarily client-centered; however, she is eclectic in her approach and often integrates other models of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Compassion based therapy, Mindfulness based therapy, Emotion focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy. She works primarily with couples, individuals and families on a broad range of mental health issues.
What is therapy to me? Therapy to me is the confidence, courage, and comfort to be emotionally naked and candid with your therapist to become a better version of yourself . In therapy, what a client requires is not someone with a brilliant mind sitting across from them, but someone with a patient heart that listens to them. On these principles, my sessions are built from the foundations of progressive and solution focussed therapies which are navigated with the ingredients of empathy, commitment, mindfulness, compassion, and sensitivity such that my clients have the confidence, comfort, courage, and permission to explore their self, their worries, their unsaid fears and secrets, their pain, their trials and tribulations, their relationships and its dynamics and their existential crisis and their purpose of life.
Therapeutic approach: My approach is primarily client-centered. I strongly emphasize the importance of incorporating a holistic model of services that takes into consideration the mental/emotional, physical/biological, social, community, and spiritual aspects of the client to ensure *their* well-being and self-sufficiency. I believe in nurturing and modeling a safe and empowering*environment* that can aid a patient to clarify problems, set goals, and implement teachings and learnings from therapy. I strongly advocate psycho-education and am very proactive with the mantra, ” Help my client to help themselves” I take a collaborative approach where I work with you to help you come up with the goals for the sessions, gain insight about the concern/s and *discover healthy* coping mechanisms. I also believe that the therapist is like a guide who helps you make a better decision for yourself. My approach depends on the concerns that the client is coming with. I believe that sticking to only one approach, i.e., either individualistic or collaborative will be limiting our skills as a therapist. We need to be flexible with our approaches depending on client’s needs

What is therapy to me? I believe that therapy is a process and the therapist is like a mirror who helps to get an objective opinion about the situation, life, people around us which in turn helps to improve their quality of life. Psychotherapy does not seek to transport one to an impossible state of happiness, but to help (the client) acquire steadfastness and patience during suffering.
Therapeutic approach: I believe in a strength-based appraoch. It is important to identify one’s character strengths like courage, humanity, justice and optimism to reach a purposeful and meaningful life. One can strive to find the resources and learn the coping strategies to make life worth living. Hence, therapy can train them to harness the power of shifting one’s perspective to maximize the potential for contentment in everyday behaviours.

Few highlights of her achievement.
What is therapy to me? I feel that therapy is a mode of treatment that helps to shed light upon the concerns faced by clients and equips them to come out of their distress independently. Therapy works when the client is also willing for treatment. It also depends on the skills and expertise of the therapist. I believe that sometimes, psychotherapy works better than medication.
Therapeutic approach: My approach is to first establish a rapport with the client, to create a safe and comfortable environment where the client can communicate freely. Then listening to the client and allowing him or her to ventilate. I prefer collaborative approach which will also include the client’ needs and views and the therapists opinion. I am open to honest suggestions about my treatment, any client can share any concerns or difficulties with the treatment process with me and I generally respect that. There have been lot of successful stories in my journey as a therapist which makes me happy and satisfied at the end of the day.

What is therapy to me?
To me, therapy is a medium and an end in itself. It is in fact just anything that motivates and results in change in life circumstances, or perspectives, or ways of being. Therapy is the platform that provides a safe space for a client to explore their world freely, unconditionally, and non-judgmentally. I’ve observed that what is therapeutic for me may not be therapeutic for someone else, making therapy a highly personal experience. It is all about what works in making the complex and distinct world of each individual a better place to live in.
Therapeutic approach: My approach is need-based, flexible and collaborative. I work with my clients to understand their requirements and working styles. I am also open to careful experimentation based on client suggestions and needs.I view clients as fellow travellers on the journey of therapy, and my role is to understand and respond to their needs. I also believe in time-limited and short therapy focused on priority goals.Additionally, I hold that therapy is only effective when it is non-judgmental and culturally sensitive, taking into account the client’s social and political contexts as well as their individual experiences and life stories.
