Ashwini Tadpatrikar is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of expertise in mental health, specializing in gaming and technology addiction among adolescents, personality disorders, and family and couples therapy. She holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from Calcutta University. She has submitted her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, where her research focuses on developing healthy screen use guidelines for the adult working population.

After completing her M.Phil., Ashwini worked at Sahyadri Hospitals in Pune in the Child Guidance Unit, focusing on emotional and behavioral issues in children and adolescents. She then served as a Clinical Psychologist at NIMHANS for three years in the Family and Marriage Therapy Unit, specializing in resolving complex family conflicts and relational issues. Following this, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Montfort College, Bangalore, before joining DST-ICMR-funded research projects on technology addiction.

Known for her compassionate and tailored approach, Ms. Tadpatrikar integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and eclectic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric disorders. She believes in creating individualized therapy plans that resonate with each client’s unique background, emotional needs, and life circumstances.

Ashwini has an impressive academic record with 23 publications10 in Scopus-indexed and 11 in Web of Science-indexed journals, with a Scopus H-index of 5 and over 100 citations. Her research primarily focuses on meta-analyses and systematic reviews on technology addiction, exploring its prevalence and psychological impact on family communication and emotional health. She has also contributed to developing psychotherapy modules combining Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Therapy (FT), and yoga-based practices to address gaming and technology addiction in adolescents and improve family dynamics.
